Our Story

Banbury Hill Farm lies in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty over-looking the Evenlode Valley and Wychwood Forest. Set in 54 acres of rolling, wooded farmland our accommodation offers the peace & tranquillity of the countryside in which to relax and enjoy your holiday or weekend break.

What was once a working farm, now fully diversified and dedicated to tourism. The old stone buildings have been converted into bed & breakfast accommodation, and four cosy self catering cottages.

The grass meadows and matured woodland slope gently towards the river valley, with broad grass walks and farm trails taking you through ever more interesting areas. Home to a variety of farm animals such as our beautiful and hardy Oxford Down Sheep, donkeys and goats. There is an attractive playground for the children, identified dog-walks, tennis court, football pitch and 18 hole Disc Golf course to occupy your any spare time you may have.

The Cotswolds is the perfect place for being as active or inactive as you like: climb, walk, cycle, ride, sail, water ski, swim or just lie on a beach - we may be miles from the sea but don't worry we've still got a beach for you!

Here in the Cotswolds you'll find ideal walking country: stunning countryside with green rolling hills crisscrossed by countless footpaths, secluded river valleys, picturesque towns and villages of honey coloured stone along with an abundance of welcoming Cotswold inns and tea rooms.

For cyclists there are bridleways and quiet country lanes galore and while you'll struggle to avoid a few uphill stretches at least most are relatively short and gentle and, as well as the freewheel downhill afterwards, your efforts will have earnt you a guilt free drink and meal in one of the hostelries so thoughtfully scattered along your route!
